About Artographs
"Drawn" toward the art world all my life, I have done countless paintings in oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastel, and gouache. My greatest enjoyment is creating fine art combining these last three mediums. I learned basic photography and darkroom development in the traditional manner. All of this before the computer and the digital age. I've also done graphics, illustrations, and even signage for businesses and churches. With the advancement of technology, my art has taken on a whole new meaning. Gravitating toward digital photography seemed only a natural transition as another art form. To me, digital cameras, computers and software are just other forms of pen and paper in order that I may express my view of the world, to the world.
The tabbed categories above show only a small portion of my interests and what I enjoy. With the recent purchase of a new Graphtec FC8000 plotter/cutter, we're back into vinyl graphics, as well. As time permits, I will be up-dating this site and adding new material; in the meantime, if you see anything you like, or if you can imagine something you like, contact me at artographs@charter.net, and let's talk. My desire is to please - you and me! (By the way, my wife, Pam, is an artist in her own right. She did her own face paint for the portrait, "Lioness".)
